Sunday Thoughts

It was a good Sunday overall with coffee to start the day. I made my son a huge stuffed omelette before he set out for work, and I had avocado toast and an egg. My older daughter came over before my sister picked me up to meet others car pooling to a town northwest of the cities for a family graduation party. I made chocolate chip pan cookies and these little s'more snacks to add to the dessert bar. They proved popular with kids and teens. On line they got mixed reviews. I had already wrapped them up with the pan cookies on a large disposable tin, so the pictures not great. There's about three dozen. There should have been more but I kept breaking the crackers. I also ran low on chocolate after going overboard on the pan cookies.

Pup finally slept through the night, from 11:00 after one more bathroom trip, until after 7. I thought he made it without an accident, but he had one right after he woke up barking and before I got him out. I've been gating him in the kitchen, both in case of accidents since I can clean up and mop easier, but also as it's the safest room when he aimlessly wanders with his very poor sight, and likely a bit of dementia creeping in. He can fall down stairs or get stuck anywhere in the kitchen. I put a couple old towels to make a bed, but they also serve for soaking up potty before a clean and sanitizing mop. It's getting tiring for all of us, but I think for him as well.

I've got a slow week ahead but am determined to get some more purging done as my son is whitling his own things before moving items Friday. I've things to pass on to him to both help my space and fill in gaps such as some baking dishes, coffee mugs, and blankets. He's going to be quite discriminating though in what he accepts as je doesn't want my clutter. I'm meeting a friend in St Paul Thursday so can drop off a donation load on route. Bring on June.
