Positively Tuesday April 14, 2026

     As I've never been a fan of Tuesday's, I've been using them to try and recap anything positive, joyful, or smile worthy to try and lighten up my Tuesday moods.
  • Little Mister is doing fantastic and has just blended in with the family so well. His attitude that keeps bringing him to lounge on the dining room table needs to adjust though...yuck.

  • I enjoyed my half day subbing last Friday. Full days will be tough with pup, but the afternoon worked great and gave me a bit of cushion for ever increasing bills. 
  • Crazy variations of weather continue with Sunday starting with a thunderstorm and transitioning to near 80°. It was nice being outside getting a few jobs done in short sleeves. The mud though...then, we had weather watches yesterday afternoon,  but we just ended up with rain and not much that I saw. Things are finally greening up and seeing buds developing on trees. Finally!
  • Happy 15th Birthday to pup yesterday. He's cranky and slow, a major financial obligation,  but he's my boy.
  • Morning coffee with a cozy cat curl up. She won't relinquish this spot on her favorite blanket.

         I've started a few deep dive tasks today and setting myself some calendar  targets. Tomorrow I'm back to my osteo doctor and hoping for some relief so I can fully resume the PT exercises and be back walking miles. I really need more exercise in my day along with improved eating to get weight management back on track. Hopefully next week I share positive results.

    Fingers crossed that the osteo appt goes well and you can get back into the walking. These kitties and pup are so adorable. Black cats are apparently the least adopted, because of all the superstitions that surround them but your new grandcat is adorable.

Cancelled

      Twice Friday I was notified of cancellations. First, my original flight to Athens in March was cancelled and they rescheduled...two days later!What for the sake of Pete is that crappy rescheduling?  Sure, I want to fly  and sit in layovers for 17 hours just to lose two days of my vacation. I rejected that reschedule obviously my. Lots of back and forth with options presented with multiple four+ hour layovers, and eventually landed on one that diggers by about four hours total from the original, but is a 2-stop. I kept reminding myself the journey is part of the opportunity and round trip tickets to Greece from Minnesota for $600 are about as low as a person can find. This was why I bought my Kindle as to do more and frequent travel, I'll have to exchange time, lots of layover time, for money.      Then, several hours later, as I'm checking for updates on the flight, I got notification of another cancellation.                                             For Friday Fiscal Wellness Check,  I copy the previous week, delete the old and updated as I go along the week as a way even when busy and not in a blogging mindset, I'm accountable to myself.  Here's my recap of Friday, August 15 to Thursday, August 21. I just sort of list things as they come up, then edit before publishing.  Avoiding Spending/ Saving on Needs Still on target to reduce my monthly HHG budget by $75.
