Positively Tuesday, March 24, 2026
I've always just hoped to get through Tuesdays. To change the lens a bit, I've been using Tuesday's to capture bits of good, smiles and thankfulness. Some weeks the list just writes itself and others, like everybody has sometimes, my week was less than happy. Still, I feel better when I get the post made even if a pull. Here's some credentials joys.
- Looking back at vacation pictures in my phone reminds me how fortunate I am to have these kinds of experiences. I'm grateful I left and got home before the real TSA issues started in airports.
- The optometrist was happy with the results of the deeper tests. A baseline is set, but he saw no need to start any treatment for developing glaucoma. Plus, a small retinol bleed appeared to have healed on its own. I'll have yearly exams to monitor and stay ahead of any deterioration.
- My daughter had positive feedback from her presentation on her research project in front of a pretty esteemed panel. It was so great hearing her being genuinely excited about next steps in her education/ career.
- My hip is finally easing up on the shooting pain. Walking is still a strain, but I'm doing the exercises PT gave me and going on shortish walks.
- The snow is finally melting. Here's the snow mountain last Thursday and then yesterday afternoon, four days later. It'll still be weeks and weeks before fully gone but a start.
- I gave the house a proper tidy. I can't say spring cleaning yet because deep stuff needs to happen, but it at least is orderly and calm.
- I'm choosing to put this as a positive. A brief friendship has come to a close. I very well may have spoke out of school with a third party, but did so out of concern and care. While she called out the end, I knew it too. I want to hold onto the positives that developed, while knowing it's ok to be in a very different place in our minds and life. I hope nothing but the best for her.
- Last, so grateful pup will be with us a bit longer after a scare and prep for the worst. He had a horribly infected abcess in his cheek and has developed diabetes ( 2x daily insulin now) but otherwise, tests were all good.
I hope your having a good start to you're day. Brighter skies ahead!

That is a big "mountain" of snow and you're right, will take time to melt for sure. I'm glad they will be monitoring the small retinol bleed because if it continues without healing it can really impact your vision. I loved reading about your daughter being excited about her career. I'm glad your hipo is easing up some too. Poor pup!
