Wednesday Wellness Check In, June 18, 2025
Old picture, but trying to be more meal intentional.
I'm going using Wednesday again to check in, at least on first four.
Lose five pounds. I at least lost the addition weight the little Memphis get away added, but have not lost any additional. I looked over past doctor visits and in September 2024, I was at the lowest weight I have been in two decades. That's my target by fall again, so keeping these mini monthly goals alive is important. Then, I'll try for an even healthier weight.
Walk 10 miles per week. Fair. Some days the grand pup got 4 walks, shorter and other days 2-3, but longer.
Strength and weight resistance exercise two hours per week. Fail...must get better at this.
Ensure I have at least six fruit and veg servings per day with at least three being vegetables. Lacking as well and too many carbs.
Resume 16-8 intermittent fasting, meals/ snacks only between 12-8, but aiming for nothing past 7:00. The 8:00 gives me flexibility for nights like trivia that doesn't start until 7:00. Most days this has been the plan, though I admit to a bit of after 8 snacking.
Calorie deficit tracking. Big fail...I know some meals were way too calorie heavy. I need to focus the remainder of summer.
Stimulating content, I know but helps me realistically evaluate. I'm motivated in partnership with Tamara from The Retirement Project and Hawaii Plan. Thank you both for your encouragement. To HP, shout out on the new job!! She's been a blogging friend for so long I feel I know her personally ( met on a Zoom call) so it felt like I was celebrating family when she shared her news. Well Done.
Your realism hits home with my need for better daily evaluation ___ after TheHub gets back from the beach bakery with warm cinnamon rolls
ReplyDeleteYou’re doing great! I have a horrible time tracking calories, and I dislike vegetables! I have also been very bad about running or walking. In fact, I sort of lost my way. I think I need to just schedule it in my day like I would, say, taking a shower.
ReplyDeleteI truly enjoy HP’s blog. Like you I have been reading for years. She seems so kind and really pulled together. I was so happy to hear about her job!

Congratulations on losing your vacation weight, getting out there walking and for doing intermittent fasting!
ReplyDeleteIt's a marathon, not a sprint! Now that it is warmer, I have been eating like the hungry caterpillar for the last few weeks. Tasty, but means I have to work harder at the gym, lol! So I am aiming to go 4x this week again but we'll see.
