New Sociable Week Ahead

We've got the heat dome again, today will be in the mid 90's and no reprieve intil possibly Sunday says the meteorologists. Poor pup is not a fan but he gets out frequently. I just met my daughter for grandpup and he had a play outside while its cooler. I watered the cucumber pot and tomatoes, the beans too but think they're done for. I got both dogs on walks as well, all before 7:30. I was slow and hermit like. I did some tasks, read, watched both Wimbledon finals and World Cup matches, and didn't venture farther than the park, though took several walks. I did a few rounds each day of my PT exercises for my hip. While the stabbing pain is gone, I'm still struggling and bit.

The cats are still with me and this one's going to have a hard transition I think to living where someone isn't home most of the time. Where Little Miss likes her quiet places, this guy wants cuddle time on demand. I sit, and he jumps in my lap. Maybe it's because he's still a kitten, estimates that he was born in October, but he loves people. My son came here after work last night after working jobs and at cabin since Thursday and this guy ran to the door for him.

I've a fairly busy week ahead with some fun things. My brother, who'll be here until October, one sister, and I are attending the last coffee concert series until fall on Tuesday morning at the arts center, a violin and cello duet. Later, I'm staying in a hotel Tuesday night before the John Mellencamp concert and we're bringing our own happy hour nibbles and drinks as the hotel is already a small fortune, always a price gauge at the event center for big(ger) name concerts. I've got a supper meetup with the mom friends Wednesday and another friend Thursday for the concert by the river.

We're far from the weekend and I've got several commitments to prepare for including rounding up books that are in good condition but likely never to be read by me again to donate to our AAUW book sale.  They were short volunteers so I'm working a two hour shift Sunday. I had not planned to volunteer since taking on a committee role starting in September, but my sister'sworking same shift. Hopefully today and Friday I can chip away on my project list inside.

  9. A busy and sociable week for you, I hope you enjoy it all. I'm not very sociable when it's hot, the heat saps my energy. It's lovely having pets to greet you and who like being around you.

    1. I really do not miss work at all. Last summer was weird but this summer, other than I'd like to be more productive, even subbing or short contract work is far from my radar.
