A Hoky Fun Ad
I love how the UK big stores have Christmas stories as part of their advertising leading to Christmas. I have a few favorites I've seen on YouTube over the years. Wouldn't ya know, Minnesota's own Gerten's green house has got into the "magic" with their advertising.
I'm not getting any proceeds, but I'll disclose I love this garden center. They're a great support for youth fundraisers in our communities, have gorgeous plants, trees, and shrubs, and a beautiful shop as well. This is from where my work friends gave me the gift card. It's a hop skip and a jump from me, so a great place to shake off the winter blahs. I'm sure you all have your local favorites. It's a Facebook link but I think you can still watch even if you're not in Facebook.
Would You Watch This Christmas Classic in the Making
This is for anyone that likes a good hoky Hallmark movie and a bit of a wander in a garden center at Christmas.
Here's one of my favorite from the UK in past years, The Beginner from Christmas 2022. Not Hoky a bit!!!
Oh, those were both neat to watch. I enjoy advertising like that.
ReplyDeleteYes, both were mine. 😂

ReplyDeleteI'm betting both comments were yours, Belinda. Blogger has been a challenge lately. I could Google and watch fun old adverts for hours. Nostalgia.
DeleteSo much fun! The UK one was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhoever scripts and produces for John Lewis sure has the number for our heartstrings.
DeleteBoth good! :)
ReplyDeleteI found the John Lewis adsduring Covid when my YouTube addiction started.
DeleteThe Gerten's ad is brilliant! I also like the UK ad
ReplyDeleteThey really nailed Minnesota with it.
DeleteUK stores are quite competitive about their Christmas ads. But the results can be fun.
ReplyDeleteAs long as we're not overly tempted, I say they should keep the competition going. I really like the format.
DeleteOh my, the care one made me tear up! - Hawaii Planner
ReplyDeleteDon't they have a way to pull at your heart strings?
DeleteI don't think anybody does Christmas adverts quite like the British. I can't watch a lot of them, they make me too homesick :(
ReplyDeleteI can see why. I think you all do Christmas so much better as far as just festive vibe with less commercialism.
