I'm not in Minnesota Anymore

Pardon my silence as I throw myself fully into my trip. I arrived uneventfully Sunday morning, a good thing in travel, but my poor friend battles road gridlock picking me up. Highlights so far were

  • Windsor wander
  • an outdoor swim in a lido ( followed by steam room, sauna, and hot tub)
  • a glorious lunch in a pub in the Cotswolds and a farm store shop
  •  meeting lovely friends of friend and daughter of friend
  • Bristol United soccer, pardon me football match, complete with colorful chants to the officials
  • and today both pretending to be a neighbor of Doc  Martin, and drinks over looking the sea in St Ives. Cornwall is amazing.
More to come but a snippet to share. Photos might not mot be in correct order of days and times. I'll do a big sort and personal photo album once home.
Crooked House in Windsor, now importantly a wine bar.

One view of Windsor Castle

Best lunch I've had in a long time- Saffron Clifton neighborhood in Bristol following
the (burrr) swim

A beautiful walkthrough cemetary that led to remains of bombed St Andrews church.

Losing game but fun night.

Outside picnic grounds and breathtaking view despite the rain outside farm shop.

Bay beyond the breakwaters Port Isaac

The iconic harbor.

Louisa's school, but now a hotel and restaurant and cute shop.

Small building is Fern Cottage, otherwise to fans as Doc Martin's surgery.

View of the harbor from our home for the next three fats- St Ives, Cornwall.

One view from our Airbnb- plan to walk there tomorrow, amongst other recommended hikes.

St Ives sea walk at high tide.
