Back from Cornwall, Off to Bath

      These blog snippets are as much for my memory as to share with you. Nothing will be deep- just memory joggers for me. We had a wonderful time in St Ives and went back to Bristol by way of the National Trust property, Trerice.

     My friend's daughter who was cat sitting made a beautiful mushroom and herb cheese dish for us and I slept soundly. Sunday was a proper breakfast out then a few hours later gin and tonics, with the required nibbles at her neighbors/friends. There was a concert at St George featuring the Bristol City Orchestra and choir for Remembrance Day. It was terrific and a nice cap to the weekend. 

     Today we're heading to Bath. The weather looks like rain, but I'm not bothered. I'm promised beautiful bookshops and cafes and architecture which all are available rain or shine.

    Beautiful! That bird stole your sausage roll? Sounds like the birds near Lake Michigan who hover around waiting to steal food.

I never remember if the seasons change on the 20th or 21st, but my weather alert text said today's the last day of summer.  " Last day of summer! Increased sunshine with warmer highs in the mid-70s, isolated severe storms possible. Pleasant weather this week."      It's a perfect morning sitting outside while the dogs play and I have my coffee. I've had a good weekend so far and am ok with getting some rain. Monday Morning Thoughts for a Busy Week

      This just working part time is more than enough when my week feels busy. I don't recall the last time I had so much in a short period of time. I also have cat duty for my sister morning and evenings until Thursday. She and another sister joined Memphis commuter sister on her work trip.  Monday: Besides a few meetings and adding more to the project documents I have two personal tasks. One is picking up my daughter's bike from the repair guy. Her car is too little, and I might keep as she looks for a more road worthy version. I'm not opposed to a couple useable bikes here. I also have an appointment to get a copy of my marriage license. I have one, but not sure if I'll need to send anything for social security so wanted a second. If timing works, I am going to try to get to at least the second half of my great nieces first highschool soccer game. It's Worse Than I Imagined

      The shit show since January 20th has been a big reason for my reclusiveness the last few weeks. Let the comments fly. Create a crisis. Lie that you resolved it. Get your sycophants to suck it all up. Rinse. Repeat...for four F' ing years.  Oh, and let's shout, "but her emails" while a foreign oligarch is raiding our private personal data with his hoard of teenagers. Let's pardon January 6th criminals, several of which immediately committed additional crimes.  I said it was going to be my only political post election post but man, it's even worse than I could have imagined.
